Quake: A division of Life Promotions
CHALLENGE
To design a logo that will help transition an existing 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with a 30-year history into a new organization with a new focus. Youth Encounter Christ was a large national youth outreach organization in a mainstream denomination that called their youth events Quakes. Life Promotions acquired the organization and brought it into an existing brand structure to more closely align with other corporate strategies for reaching youth.
OPPORTUNITY
The new design had to blend with existing brands and yet maintain integrity for 30 years of loyal donors and participants. The new corporate identity needed to be friendly, approachable, purposeful, and have some longevity to help establish relationships between the two organizations.
SOLUTION
Design a logo with connection to the house of brands through use of color and font treatment. Create a tagline that brought the marketing goals in line with others to present a cohesive brand package. The Q in Quake was designed to hold the Christian symbol of the fish. It is a subtle statement about the faith- based organization’s programming and events. The classic font treatment will have a long shelf life.
